What to Expect With Glasses or Contacts Fitting

Glasses and contacts are not one size fits all. When you visit us at Longmont Eye Center, we will check your vision and eye health. If you are interested in wearing contacts, we will evaluate your eyes to see whether contacts will work for you.

If you have been told you are "hard to fit" for contacts, due to dry eye or another vision problem, our Longmont optometrist can recommend gentle contacts that may work for you. If you decide to go forward with contacts, we will measure your eyes to get the fit right. We will then recommend a type of contact based on your budget, lifestyle, and vision needs. We will make sure you know how to care for glasses or contacts before sending you home. Finally, there are follow-up appointments for contacts to make sure you are adjusting to your new vision correction.

Our Longmont eye doctor not only fits adults with glasses and contacts, but can care for children's eye needs too. Vision care is critical to your children's ability to learn, see, and play sports. We can recommend the right solution for active children, children with learning difficulties, and children with strabismus or amblyopia.
